Yesterday was Day 2 of our Boston trip, and it did not disappoint. All of the positive momentum that we saw on day 1 definitely carried over to yesterday. We met some great people, made some meaningful connections and sat in on some very educational sessions.
With our first day jitters out of the way, we felt we made some huge improvements to our 'elevator pitches' and to our overall reach-out strategy. We found that inquiring about what our visitors did for work was extremely useful in deciding how we went about describing our platform. With INBOUND being mostly Hubspot users, we knew that roughly 20% of them would have mobile/web apps. Once we figure out if they have a mobile app, we can more effectively communicate our offerings.
Aside from making some great connections, we also had the opportunity to sit in on some informational breakout sessions. One of the most impactful ones that we sat in on yesterday was with Hull.io's Ed Fry. Ed talked to us about how he used 'Rules' to scale up SaaS companies. These rules ranged anywhere from how a company implements their payment structure to how they design their blog posts. He believes that these rules provide a more structured and reliable way to scale up, without using 'growth hacks'. We took a lot away from our session, and we even began brainstorming some 'rules' that we could implement to scale our own company.
Overall, Day 2 was another great day. Today we are looking forward to some powerful sessions, and we even get to hear from Alex Rodriguez!
