The team spent the backend of last week up in beautiful Montreal attending the Mobile Growth Summit. We heard from some great speakers, learned a lot about the mobile marketing landscape and connected with some amazing marketing minds.
Instead of trying to describe the summit, I decided to let them describe it for you:
"Mobile Growth Summit is a global mobile media company providing mobile marketing professionals with frontline content and community events to help grow their app businesses. Drawing on its roots as a non-profit organization dedicated to education, Mobile Growth Summit is committed to building the world’s most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable community of mobile experts."
They have events in the US, Europe and Canada, and continue to grow each year. They see about 300+ speakers annually, and draw in over 3,500 attendees each year. And it was easy to see why. Each speaker that we saw at the event was a leader in their field, and offered a lot of relevant knowledge. I think Jeet Niyogi of Playtika said it best when he said 'If you can take even one thing away from this conference and implement it into your company, then we did our job'.
In addition to Jeet, we heard from other awesome speakers like Owen O'Donoghue who is the head of mobile & real money games at Facebook, Gabrielle Christman who is an account executive at AppsFlyer and Dennis Mink who is the VP of Liftoff. Every speaker was able to use the lessons they learned through their own experience, and explained how we could use it at our own companies. Unlike some summits/conventions, the speakers at MGS weren't there to promote their own companies or products, instead they were there to share knowledge. It was cool to see so many likeminded individuals in one room, all with the common goal of helping advance each others companies.
Overall, we had a great experience in Montreal and we can't wait to book our next trip up there. Thanks again to Mobile Growth Summit for having us, and to all of the speakers for sharing your insights with us!
