SaaS Companies Guide to the Holidays

SaaS Companies Guide to the Holidays

With the holidays just around the corner, your company may be getting some mid-December anxiety. With so much going on around the holiday season, we at wanted to help relieve some of the holiday stress. Here are 6 tips on how to rock this holiday season.

  • Create Season-Specific Content

    • Once December hits, a lot of peoples focus is on the holiday season and their families. Cater to this with season-specific content to keep your customers engaged (just like this blog!).

  • Schedule/Automate Outreach

    • This one is a little tricky. There will not be a whole lot of people sitting at their desks ready to promptly respond to emails or take your calls, so you will see less responses than you usually would when reaching out to clients/potential clients. But don't go dark during the holidays. With the New Year approaching, budgets will be finalized in the weeks leading up to it, so it could be a crucial time for buying decisions. Scheduling helps save you time during an otherwise busy time of year.

  • Plan Social Media Efforts

    • Just because people will not be in the office doesn't mean that they won't be looking through their social media all day. Having a social presence is always a huge part of the success of a company, and being active during the holidays is a part of that. Scheduling certain social media posts to be sent out during the holidays is a great way to keep follower engagement high while not spending too much time during the holiday bustle.

  • Prepare a Surprise Giveaway

    • Everyone loves presents, even your clients. Doing surprise giveaways on social media is an awesome way to interact with your followers while sticking with the holiday spirit. (Its also a great way to get rid of all of the SWAG you have left over from convention season)

  • Check in on Your Competitors

    • It's always a good idea to keep tabs on your competitors and the holidays are no exception. Try to see if they run any season specific deals, promotions or events and gauge how well they are working. You can learn a lot about your customers holiday buying habits by studying what others in your industry are doing, so keep your eyes open!

  • Have a Post-Holiday Plan

    • So you followed the last 5 steps and effectively interacted with your clients and maybe even caught the eyes of some new prospective clients, now what? One of the biggest mistakes you can make during they holiday season is not setting up a post holiday plan. Decide what your plan of action is and stick to it, it will make your life a lot easier once January 2nd rolls around. Also taking advantage of tools like HubSpot to automate your outreach efforts can also prove to be extremely useful.
